L2-EAD to I-140

Hi,

My husband is in L1A and i am in L2. I got my EAD for L2 and started working.

My husbands company does not sponsor GC for him. I got a full time, my company will sponsor GC for me. Can i apply I-140 from L2-EAD.

a) My visa is expiring on April 2012. So can i apply I-140 with I-485.
b) If yes, after applying I-485 can we stay in US, till we receive the approval?
c) How long the whole process takes?

Your company cannot directly apply I140. They need to go through Labor first and then apply for I140. Only when your PD is current, you can apply for I485.
