Change Employer during Consular Processing

All,

I am currently employed by a US company on H1B, valid till 2007. Since this company has a branch in India where I spend most of my time, I opted for consular processing.

I am now in the middle of this consular processing (waiting for EB3 numbers to become available) for my Greencard.

Would it be possible for me to change employers at this stage? If so, what do I need to do once I have changed employers?

That is because AC21 does not allow change of employer in consular processing. It allows only I-485. That is one disadvantage of consular processsing.
