Immigrant via for mother
Hello,
I am a US Citizen and got my citizenship in February 2013. Thereafter, I applied for my mother's Immigration in March 2013. My mother is an Indian Citizen and she lived in India till December 2012 (last year), since then she is living with my sister in Dubai. She is on a temporary visa and her visa is valid till September 2014.
Now with the Immigration processing I am about to file and send I-864 (Affidavit of Support) next week. And thereafter will need to send in original documents from me and my mother to NVC center. Once all is done she will get an appointment call in India.
My question here is since my mother is in Dubai what are the steps involved to transfer he file at US consulate in Dubai? She cannot go to India for some reason.
Please help me since if I am not able to transfer the file to Dubai instead of India I might have to drop the file and re-apply after few months which will be a waste of time and money.
