Question on Travel: I-130 application pending, currently residing in US on valid E3

I am currently living and working in the US on a valid E3 Visa. I was married last year to a US citizen and we submitted an I-130 in March of this year. I was hoping to travel back to Australia to visit with family but was concerned that this might interfere with the I-130 application process as i was required to give my current I-94 admission number (which would change on re-entry into the US) as a part of completing the I-30 application forms.

Is this a valid concern, or am i able to travel outside the US and return without affecting my I-130 application

I appreciate any advice.
