H1B 3 year extension

Hi,
I have a question on H1B extension, if some one can help me..
My LC and I-140 have been approved. I had applied for consular
processing for Green Card.My file has already been processed by NVC.NVC
is waiting for my Priority Date to be current so they can forward my
case to concerned consulate.
I will soon be reaching 6-Year limit on my current H1B and my
Priority Date is not running current for my EB3 visa category .
Can I extend my current H1B visa?

Hi, I'm facing the same problem right now. I've received a letter from NVC that my case was forwarded to the Consular Post in August when the PD for EB-3 was already unavailable. Now the State Department retrogressed the available PD to March 2001, and my PD is March 2003. I still have another year left on my H-1B but I don't know if my PD will become current before the end of my 6th year. Will I be able to file for 7th year extension?
