  • I-130 for spouse

Hello all, I am using Immihelp to range what everyone else is going through. I submitted an I-130 to sponsor my wife to come here. She is from Sweden and I am a US Citizen. We got our receipt of action I-797 and priority date of April 29, 2013. My questions are, A: how much longer should we expect to wait. B: are there any tricks or helpful tips we can do to speed the process up? C: what is the longest time you have heard of an I-130 taking? Thanks for your time reading this, please reply with any advice or general knowledge , it would be much appreciated!
    Sincerely,
    Darwin

    Darwin,

Spousal immigrant visas are taking up to a year, from submittal of paperwork to interview at Consulate or Embassy. Up until a few months ago, the timeframe was averaging about nine months.

You can't really do anything to speed the process up, except to make every effor to submit it right the first time.
