  • My approved i130 was on dept state

Hi everyone! Just wanna ask some of your spare time to answer few questions of mine. To give you a little background, my husband ( petitioner), us citizen, filed i130 last june 6 and received noa1 on june 14. Last dec 4, we got an approved i130. Until now we're still waiting for the hard copy notice from the uscis. My husband will spend the holidays with me here in the philippines and leave us on dec 9. He'll stay here for more than 3 weeks. My questions are:
    A. How long will it take to get your case number from the nvc?
    B. how long will it take for the next step after you received your case number?
    C. Does nvc has deadlines or timelines to finish the required or needed forms and documents?
    D. What if my husband was'nt able to fill up the forms right away because he's in the philippines, are we subject for denial?

Pls pls help us..advance thank you and happy holidays to all!

THE NVC CASE NUMBER ASSIGNMENT AND FEE/SPONSORSHIP/ INSTRUCTIONS USUALLY FOLLOW IN 2-5 WEEKS FROM THE I-130 APPROVAL

THE NATIONAL VISA CENTER STEP REQUIRES TWO FEES SUBMITTALs (ONLINE), COMPLETION OF ONLINE DS-260 AND DS-261, SUBMITTAL OF SPONSORSHIP AND CIVIL DOCUMENTS -- ABOUT 4-5 WEEKS BEFORE COMPLETION AND AN EMBASSY APPOINTMENT NOTICE.

NO NVC DEADLINES. YOU HAVE UP TO A YEAR BETWEEN CONTACTS WITH THE NVC BEFORE THEY 'SHELVE' THE CASE FOR INACTIVITY

IT'S NOT A PROBLEM. FILLING OUT THE FORMS IS NOT THAT BIG A DEAL. HUSBAND WILL HAVE TO COMPLETE SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE. YOU, AS THE VISA APPLICANT, WILL HAVE TO FILL OUT ONLINE FORM DS-260 AND PROVIDE CIVIL DOCUMENTS.
