I am at the last stage (hopefully) of the CP for my parents. I guess there might be a stalemate as getting original CIVIL documents is so difficult in northern India. Regardless, here are my specific questions:
1. I only have one Marriage certificate for my parents. Can I just attach that for one of the application (say my Mom's) and NVC can link it up for the Dad's application? Same question for my own birth documents?
2. I do not have my own birth certificate. I-130 got approved based on the secondary and tertiary evidence. Doesn't USCIS send the complete file to NVC? Why NVC is asking my birth certificate now? Is it because they need originals?
3. My mom does not have birth certificate either. Local government in Rajasthan (India) has even declined to give a "non availability" document. I am totally stumped on this as my parents are not living in the region where my mom was born. Getting really difficult on this front. Any suggestion? My mom's high school certificate won't cut it?
4. Lastly, how do you ever get to talk to NVC rep? The number I have from their emails is always busy. Not even an answering machine that lets you wait with a music. I can really enjoy some music.
Thanks Folks. Good info on this forum.
