  • Approved. Waiting for interview date

    Hi Ray B,

I've not posted on here for a while, just been playing the game of patience with the NVC. Seems its finally paid off, we have got an email from the NVC saying they have finished reviewing all of our evidence and I have been approved for an interview & now I am just waiting for them to schedule me for an interview date. Whhooooohooooooo. But it doesn't give me any time line about how long this will take. Any idea on the length of time? Now I've been approved for an interview I am waiting patiently again. Always waiting.

    Thanks,
    James

    Hey James,

Glad to see you finally have an interview. If you don't mind me asking, what took so long at the NVC? Did you get checklists? If I remember correctly from reading some of your previous posts, you've been at the NVC since July of last year, no?

Hi James when did u submit your paper work to NVC. How long did it take from time of submission. Is it a petition for someone to come to the USA I am trying to find your other posts but I can't find them. I am getting ready to submit my paper works to NVC but having a little difficulty with the I-864 just want to know a little about your history.
      Thanks

        Visa stuff

Visatakestoolong000 - The NVC is where you will spend most of your time waiting & waiting. Here you will complete different forms, pay fees etc & the NVC will do all the necessary checks, this takes time & will really test your patience. So, depending on things going right I would anticipate a lengthy wait going through the NVC stages. We first started our visa process last March & we have an interview at the end of this March, one year in total.

Checklists? Not as such, but they will tell you what you need to be doing next each time they email you.

Smurfie - Submitted the IV application on 29/9/14. We had to resubmit the I-864 on 14/11 as they wanted more info. Eventually got accepted a couple of weeks ago and then the actual interview date come through a week later. We too struggled with the I-864 (obviously) but we did everything from start to finish on our own so you can definitely do it yourself. (Youtube;s great lol). And its me that is immigrating to the States to be with my wife, US citizen.

Ray B is usually on here, he helped us a lot too.

        Cheers
        James

          Hey jammydodger
Did you get your interview scheduled or still waiting patiently?
If yes, how long did you have to wait to be scheduled? Just got approved and waiting on for my interview to be scheduled.
          Thanx.
