After visa is approved

Hi,

Long story short. I have my interview date at US Embassy London on March 30th & have a holiday booked for April 4th (booked few months back). Whats the chances of getting the interview date only a few days before our holiday, only had to wait a year for it. Anyway, heres the dilemma, if I have my visa approved & they say it takes approx 5-10 days to be couriered back to me, obviously this won't be in time to make my holiday. Does anyone know if they offer a speedy service to get the visa stamped in the passport and then returned or picked up in a couple of days? Or, after approval can I take my passport out of the Embassy without the visa stamped and have it sent for visa stamping on my return from holiday?

Basically, is there anything I can do to get my passport back before I leave for holiday? Or am I destined to lose my 100% non refundable holiday?

I do not want to change my interview date.

You can opt for a pick-up instead of a mail-out. Check with the consulate what pick up options you have.
If you are lucky, you can pick up your passport in 2 days time.

US Embassy London is closed today for Presidents Day. I can't find anything online that would suggest I have that option, I will try and call them tomorrow but would it be something I do on the day of the interview? And would it apply for London US Embassy?

James what did you end up doing to resolve this? Im afraid i could be in the same boat as you this july. (With my luck of course )
