Dear Members,
I am in a unique case for which need your thoughts. I am a US citizen (by birth) and have been living in India for last 20yrs, came at age of 6yrs old, with my family. As of today I am married & have a child and now look forward to move back to the states along with my family. As I've been here for quite sometime, I don't have any current ties in the USA to establish domicile except I have my relatives, cousins & friends. I read that in such a case we need to show our intention of immigrating to Visa consular by doing following:
1. Opening Bank account - Since they need residence proof for US
2. Paying federal tax - since I have no income in US
3. Registering child in school
4. Paying State / Federal Tax in the US - Again I don't have any proof
5. Voter ID in the US - I don't have a proof
6. Residence - I have used my relative's address here, should this work?
Lastly, since my kid is young I don't want to go to USA first to make all arrangements and then get the rest of the family - but is that the only way?
Would really appreciate if some inputs can be shared that can help me take a good approach
