60 day letter from NVC?

I submitted my DS-260 and supporting documents via email to the NVC on April 6 and haven't heard a thing from the NVC (it is now April 15). Do they usually send an email confirming the receipt of documents? I've been trying to call them but of course its impossible to get through. Thanks!!

I submitted my documents through mail (as my case is not applicable for email processing). As soon as they get the documents, they send out an email confirming the receipt of documents (usually takes them 24-36 hours) to send this email out. In the email they mentioned that it will take them at-least 60 days to review the documents.

I sent the last of my documents to the NVC on 08/10/14 and they didn't reach the NVC until 14/10/14 (tracked courier), then we got an email from the NVC on 16/10/14 (so about 48hrs for us) saying about the 60 days.
We had a reply less than a month after that asking for a resubmission of the I-864, which set us back a bit. We got another email receipting the documents on 09/12/14. Finally the NVC approved our documents on the 06/02/2015, email for interview came about a week later and the actual interview was about a month after that.

I Think the 60 day rule is about right.
