OK, so... I got married to a US Citizen in August 2014.
We are now separated. The interview is scheduled for May 26, 2015. There's no chance of reconciliation.
My lawyer is recommending to get the divorce filed as soon as possible. If I go without him while being still married, I'll probably just get it automatically denied. If I get the divorce, then they might give me until the divorce is finalized to pack up and go home?
Anyone has experience with a similar situation?
