Hi,

My sister is getting divorce and she is planning to study MS Physiotherapy in US, she already has Master's in Physiotherapy from India. She has daughter aged 3yrs and I would like to support and take care of the child here. I'm a US citizen. I'm not sure what visa can be applied for the child, if my sister comes here on F1. Appreciate your responses.

My understanding is that for those on student visa F1, dependants spouse and / or children can be issues F2 visas , just like H4 being issued for spose of H1B holders.
