I-485 Continuation Or Consular Processing..Pl. Help .

HI,
I have applied for my I-485 in Jul 2004 with my PD in APR 2003 and I-140 Approved in May 2004. I am currently in US but planning to move to india in Feb 2006. I have an offer from a US company which is ready to pay in USD with me as an US employee but working in India. But the salary will be at par with indian salaries and not match the salary i mentioned in my labor. Also my current employer is in East coast and the future one is in west coast.My EAD and AP will expire in July 2006.
Can i go in for CP now with Chennai consulate?
If so what are my options? How wise is it continue my I-485 while working in India.

You need to be getting salary as US employee as per US standard. And it is for job in US once you get the GC.

Changing employer under AC-21 is allowed only in I-485 and not consular processing.

But can i go in for consular processing now at this stage of I-485 where i have had my finger prints and it has been more than a year that i applied for it.

You can switch to consular processing by filing I-824 as long as you are with the same employer and not changing jobs.

When u say not changing employer, you mean the employer who filed my labor and 140? Or can i change my employer now before i file I-824 and then stick with him? As said earlier, i am planning on moving to india and work with the employer who is willing to take me as an US employee and pay in USD while working indian office.

If one does switch from I-485(AOS) to Consular processing then how long does it take before the GC shows up.
