  • Can I Obtained the Green Card if I have SSC?

    Hi,

I am holding a United States SSC [social security card], but don't have the PR. I would like to know if SSC can support me to obtained the PR, if yes then how and where can I apply for it.

    Thank You.

An SSN (Social Security Number) does not give you any immigration benefit. To be eligible for a Green Card you must have a petitionable relationship with a U.S. citizen or Green Card resident or employer.

Thanks for the prompt response. can you please advise any possibility if any relative is not alive and not living in United States. Is there a way to file a petition on self behalf.

If a relative is no longer alive, or lacks a U.S. domicile, he cannot initiate a petition for you.
