Hi all!
Yesterday I received a welcome letter from NVC. So originally my mother (who is now a citizen) filed a petition for me in 2008 when she was still a permanent resident (so my priority date is in August 2008. And they assigned me a case number with the three letter consulate code from my country. And in 2010, my mom became a citizen and we changed the family preferences from permanent resident to citizen family preferences (my preferences is F2B).
So yesterday I received the welcome letter from NVC. I have an agent that's been helping me all this time. And I currently live and working (legally) in the USA. Do I have to go back to my country to do the interview or I can proceed with my application here in the USA?
Thank you all! Please let me know if you need more information.
