Hello wonderful and helpful people!
I am in the process of obtaining a green card for my husband. We live in Chile for now with plans to move back to the US when (saying when, not if! ) his visa is granted. Currently we are pulling together the documents to send to the NVC and getting them translated. My goal is to get them to the NVC by mid August. My calculations are that if the NVC receives the documents in mid-August, we should hear from them at 60 days (or around), putting us in mid-October for notice and interview date at the Embassy here in Santiago.
Here is the thing. My twin sister is getting married in the US and we are planning to fly to Boston October 31- November 8. While he is in the process of this visa, is it OK for him to enter the US? He has a tourist visa for the US that is valid for 10 years.
Anything I am missing? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Vanessa
