Can I live with my spouse whilst my visa is being processed?

Hi,

I'm a UK citizen looking to get married next summer to a US citizen. We would be getting married in the UK, but with the intention of me moving out to the US.

I am wondering if it is at all possible for me to live with my spouse in the States, whilst my visa application (I-130, I believe?) is being processed?

I'm really confused by all of this, so any help would be appreciated.
