Interview/Ds-230

I got an email from NVC regarding my son's papers, my US citizen husband petitioned him and it was approved. They schedule him for interview this first week of October. He is a minor (13 yrs old). Im wondering why he has to fill up the DS-230, he already filled up DS-260 online. There's a fee as well of $230 for Immediate Relative and Family Preference Applications- is this the same as the IV application fee worth $325 that I paid online on NVC website?

What consulate and country do you have your appointment at? We are processing in the same way and also for a minor, I would like to know the answer to this question as well?

It sounds like you received outdated instructions in error. The DS-230 is no longer in use and the $230 was the older immigrant visa fee, later changed to $325. You should contact the agency or embassy from which the form and fee request came to verify its accuracy.
