hey everyone, much to my surprise we received our consulate interview date in Chile here for my husband. The interview is happening a mere 6.5 months after we sent in the I-130. We are pleased but were not expecting this to happen.
The problem is the following: we have a trip to the US scheduled for November. 1 week for a family wedding (not ours). The interview is scheduled before the trip. what should we do? We were anticipating the interview for December or January given the wait times we had been told to expect. If we go to the interview in October and get the visa, then in November technically he is entering on that visa but we are not prepared to leave chile permanently yet. Any advice will be much appreciated!!
