Hello, I am a U.S. citizen who will be getting married in the Philippines. We decided that I'd just come back to America for the time being, save up enough money to live for a year or so while her paper work was getting done, and then move back to the US. My question is about the section in the I-864 where it asks about having a job and such. When I'm in the Philippines then I will not have a job because I saved up enough money so that we will be okay once we are back in the Philippines. I was wondering what the best way would be to go about filling this out. I do have joint sponsors who more than qualify. Would this make it so that my petitioning for her was still valid? I have a job when I get back in the states, but we were really hoping to go through the paperwork together. Thank you for any help you can offer.

I don't know your income scenario, but usually it's good to be employed as a petitioner. I suggest you get a joint sponsor just to be safe.
