Visa stamped on current passport - need to renew passport

Hi, My current passport has visa stamped on it. The passport is about to be expired in a year time now, however visa and i94 are valid beyond this period.

If I go for passport renewal process through India embassy then do my visa still stay valid as my new passport would not have stamped visa on it. Do I need to inform anything about the Passport status changes to USCIS?

You will just have to travel with OLD and NEW passports.
