Hello all,
My mother will have an interview scheduled at mumbai consulate soon (ir5). I was reading about the documents that the consulate will request, and one of the documents is that they want both current and expired passport. My mom lost her old passport (she was in a different country). Her current passport is valid since 2009 and also got police clearance stamped. She also got PCC from the country where she was residing previously before she moved.
Problem is there is no way of obtaining the old expired passport. Should she get an affidavit saying as such? Any recourse? Is this a big dealbreaker?
