  • Consular Processing - Spouse H1-B...what Documents to carry

    Hi everyone...
My husband and I going thru CP in next 3-4 months. My husband is primary applicant. I'm working and on H1-B. Can anybody please help what are the documents required for me? Do I need to take all my pay stub and last 5 years employers information too? What are the chances of rejection??
    Thanks

If you are the dependent of your spouse, you don't need to bring anything, as far as I know. It may be good to have it, though, just in case.
The risk of rejection is pretty much non-existant. Unless there is fraud involved or there are medical issues, or some paperwork is missing, CP cases can't be rejected.
If paperwork is missing, the applicant gets a chance to provide that paperwork, and the approval happens once the consulate has it. That's why it makes sense to have everything with you, even if they don't want to see it in the end.
