  • Need help !

Hi , everyone. My name is Julie. I came to US on F1 student visa. I date an American guy and thing got serious. We plan to get married real soon. I have some questions:
    1. Since I am already in US. Does it still require the income of $21,000 per year to qualify for green card application ?
2.What form do we have to fill?
    3. Is this gonna be a problem for green card application if we live apart? We study at the same college but now he gonna move to another city to complete his degree
while I am finishing mine at the same college. We still live in the same state and he visits me every 2 weeks.
    4. Are financial aid and scholarship considered as his income?

Appreciate all of your help. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

    Julie

    Steps:
1- The first thing then is to gather all your papers: -Birth Certificate (If it's not in English you need to translate it: https://www.immihelp.com/us-immigrat...anslation.html),
-Passport (Remember to renew it if it's going to expire in 6 months or earlier),
-Vaccination Records (This is the most difficult document for some, like me, who had lost it. Don't panic, it's easier than you think. You can take all the documents that you can find with some vaccine that you have and show it to the doctor that is going to do the Form I-693. If you need to apply a vaccine you can go to Fred Meyer and apply it in the pharmacy for a really low price. http://www.immihelp.com/greencard/va...uirements.html).
-Form I-94 (Arrival-Departure Records. You can get it online https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/consent.html)

2- Download all the Forms from the USCIS website (https://www.uscis.gov/forms): -Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative)
-Form I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status)
    -Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support)
-Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization)
-Form I-131 (Application for Travel Document)
