Hi! I'm from the Philippines and currently reside here. My husband is filing an immigrant petition for me. I understand that one of the documents that will be required is a police clearance from any country I've lived in for over a year past the age of 16. I was in school in Italy for 2 years when I was 17-19 years old. I've already procured a police clearance from Italy through my school there. The original copy is in Italian, and my school also furnished me a soft copy via email which was translated in English. How do I get the English translation certified? There aren't really any certified Italian translators where I am, but I do know a few Italian people. Will it be sufficient to have an Italian citizen sign off on the document even if they are not professional translators? Apart from having a translator certify the document, do I also need to get it notarized?
Thanks very much!
