My CP is due in Chennai in the next couple of months. I lived in Mumbai for over 5 years and so I have to take police certificates from Mumbai. Can some one please tell me where I should apply to get one. The instructions specifically say that I have to take police certificates from the local police authorities ( and not the PCC which we get from the RPO). When I contacted the local police station, they told me there is no such procedure known to them. People suggest me to apply in the commissioners office. But I want to know if anyone has done that before.
