if my greencard is approved and plan to marry my girlfried who is outside US, may i file for her as a dependent? What type of visa? How many months will she be able to join me?

The answer depends on what category your current green card application was
filed under?(employment based or family based)
If it was family based, then which family member filed for you?

You should get married now and add her name as your wife in the pending EB-3 petition. That way you will both get your green cards at the same time.
If you get married after you get your green card then you will have
to apply for her in the family category(F2A) , the wait for which is a few years.
