A relative of mine has been sponsored by her father, who has US Citizenship. The filing is for an unmarried daughter of a US Citizen.
The application has a priority date of October 2009 and a notice date of November 2011.
Looking at the visa bulletin, it sounds like her category would be F1.
Looking at this:

VISA APPLICATIONS
It seems like this is being currently processed:
01JAN11
Therefore, it sounds like my relative's turn has already come a while back - is that right that the priority date is used for this?
