Can I do consular processing before NIW i140 is approved
Hi all,
I am currently a PhD candidate and willing to migrate to the US under the NIW scheme. My priority date should be concurrent for EB2.
As far as I know, for people with concurrent priority date, they can file both 140 and 485 together. How about 140 and CP?
Can we do consular processing before NIW 140 is approved? If yes, what is the general processing time for doing NIW 140 and CP at the same time?
I heard that NIW petition can sometimes take up to 1 year or longer. If CP is to be filed together with 140, how much longer waiting time I should expect, please?
