Hi,
I am an Indian citizen recently married to a US citizen. My husband is applying for i130, but we do not have a marriage certificate, so we are filing affidavits from both of us and people who attended the marriage to prove the genuineness of the marriage.
Its written in the i130 instructions that all affidavits must have this statement - "I, declare (or certify, verify, or state) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct. "
I wanted to ask if the Indian witnesses of marriage (including me), need to write this statement on the notarised stamped affidavits or only my husband (US citizen) and his friends who attended the marriage (US citizens) need to include it in their notarised affidavits?
PLEASE HELP. Its urgent!
