Employer giving trouble

Hi,
My I-140 (from CSC) was cleared on July 11th with CP (Madras) and PD is current. It is still to reach NVC.

Our company is currently unstable like most other dot coms. Employer saw my resume on the net which I posted
after knowing the uncertainty. I explained the reason why I posted my resume and told I would like to stick around.

My H1-B will be expiring in November. I asked for the extension.
Employer is not cooperating. And employer does not want me to leave either, since
he does not have replacement for me.

I am confused! I am just few months away from GC.

I would like to take risk and stay with the company at least till I get GC, hoping the company exists till
then. But manager is not really cooperating. One more thing my 6 year h1-b term will expire in June 20002.
That is again one more problem.

Please share your thoughts and experience .

We both are on same boat and same situation.
Best is to talk to lawyer and start doing preparation for extension without asking employer now wait till they change their mind. And get letter from them.

Where are you in the process of GC?
If you are pretty close in getting GC, I think if you ask
for time till you get new h1 (say next three to six months)
may help. I am thinking to reason with the manager same
thing. By that time I may get interview in Madras. Once
I get stamped, it is fine.
