Need immediate answer from you Gurus

My I 140 has been approved on 10th August. I heard it on voice mail of VSC. Can any one out there throw light on whether I should go for CP. If so how long does it take..what are the pros and cons vis-a-vis AOS.
I am from India and my Consulate is Madras (Chennai).
Can I avoid filing I 824 now or is it late.

If I have to file I824 how long will it take at VSC for approval.

What is the total estimated time for both 824 and CP

I824 normally takes 3 months. Then ur case goes to NVC. NVC will take another 2/3 months. Then it goes to the consulate. IF everything is in order consulate gives an appointment after 2.5 months.

PROS: Current wait time is less than I485

CONS: travel, expense, providing more documentation and the benefit of a consular interview.

Thank you very much for a quick reply..one quick question..do you think I can change to CP as my I 140 approval has not been mailed yet. This would avoid I 824. What is your opinion
