Sponsoring a visitor while awaiting CP interview

While waiting for CP interview, is it possible to sponsor a visitor (has already made one prior trip) ? If yes, would it be sufficient to mention that sponsor's situation is AOS+CP.

I had applied for AOS before opting for CP. My 6 yrs is already up. In this scenario, any ideas on what documents (other than affidavit of support) need to be furnished instead of a visa copy?
