Hello everyone,
I am a full time employee and myself and my wife are planning to schedule our H1-B and H4 visa stamping appointments separately sometime in Jan. Our consulate would be the New Delhi consulate. In this case, I would be going for H1-B visa stamping first and after a week, my wife would be going for H4 stamping. We are doing this, so that if I get stuck because of administrative processing or 221g, she won't come to India in this case and would stay back and won't appear for H4 stamping.
My question :
(1) Is this approach fine?.
(2) Are lot of people on H1-B visa getting administrative processing or 221g at New Delhi consulate especially in case of full time employees?.
(3) Also, if everything turns out to be fine and they issue me the visa and my passport is at the Consulate, can my wife appear for H4 stamping?. Should there any issues here?.
Please advice.
