Filling Pak3 forms

I need help for the following:

Form OF-230 Part I:

1) In my wife's form, who is on H4, in Section 14A, should I write my name or leave it blank? Person(s) named in ..... who will accompany me to US now.
2) Section 18, list educational institutes, should it filled up for my wife?

Form OF 169

3) Should I check the column (7) evidence of support and column (9) Original documents. I ask because it is mentioned that these are needed in family-based cases.

4) I am doing a regular CP. Do I need to send any covering letter along with the Pkt 3? If yes, then in what format?

5) My Pkt3 was mailed by NVC on July 26, 2000. How much time should I wait before mailing the downloaded Pkt3 to Mumbai consulate?

please read the instructions carefully and fill the forms out accordingly. As simple as that!

1.& 2.: you need to fill out OF 230 part I and OF-169, for both you and your wife...that is individually.

3.: Of course not. you are applying under employment catagory.

4. No covering letter is needed. Just type the following on a sheet and & attach it with your completed forms:

CASE NUMBER: YYYY YYYY X
PA NAME: YYYY X, YYYY X X
PREFERENCE CATEGORY: E2 – PROFESSIONALS FOLLOWING ADVANCED DEGREES {whatever applies to you}
PRIORITY DATE: XXJAN1998 {whatever applies to you}
FOREIGN STATE CHARGEABILITY: * * * * INDIA

5. If you know that NVC has sent your stuff to the Consulate [Mumbai] and your PD is current, you can download the forms, fill them out and send them today!! Typically if NVC has mailed packet III to you already, they have sent your info to Mumbai at the same time.

The above [#5] is true for Consulate in Mumbai.

Just a suggestion to you: read all the subjects under this forum. Those subjects would have answered your questions.

I think rockstar123 is correct in most respects except the following:

1. Only one OF-169 to be filled (by the main petitioner).
2. On OF-169 you may have to check the column (7) since you will be filling out Affadivit of support form I-134.

These are my views. Please check with your attorney too.

I am correct in everything I said. I sent forms on 06/08/00 and got the interview date of 08/25/00.
