I spoke to NVC today they told me my case was reviewed and sent to BMY consulate on 15th march. Now it will take another 2 to 4 weeks (according to their satandard way) to get appointment dates.Comment

review time at NVC
Today (03/19/2002) they dispatched my case to chennai consulate. They had completed review on 03/12/2002. So it takes about 2-3 weeks for review and 1 week for dispatching. They also informed me that they are dispatching through DHL courier. So I assume that it should reach the consulate within 7 to 10days or so.Comment

Could anybody tell me how long does it take for NVC to receive the approval notice from the INS. My approval date is 2/19 and have not yet heard anything from NVC. I called them and checked they have not yet received the documents. And how long does it take after they receive the approval noticeComment

What Service Center are you under? If you're under Texas Service Center you may want to check whether they sent the cable at all...
My case was also approved February 19th and the NVC HAS NOT received my case. After several DAYS of trying to talk to someone at TSC they confirmed my worst nightmare: They never sent anything to the NVC... nor planned verbatim: "and we're really busy... so don't expect anything soon...", they asked me to send them a FAX requesting an inquiry and that the cable be resent. Worst case scenario is to re-file I824 or to request a duplicate... which for processing times purposes is the same thing.
Please post which is your processing center.

In general NVC does a better work - they are a contract firm - more they do more they get.
My case was done in abt 3~4 weeks since it was mailed to STL. Mine was dispatched on the 19th to chennai.
Gopulu - I suppose NVC sends the mail to DOS mail room in washington and then it goes by diplomatic pouch to chennai, since chennai is the ONLY consulate that needs actual records from NVC. But did you guys specifically ask the dispatch procedure ? i doubt that they use dhl ... if they do then we are blessed ....Comment

The NVC operator specifically told me that they are using DHL courier. Can anyone else call them and confirm this again. I have already made too many calls to them.Comment

I also called and checked They use DHL and that means our papers must be in chennai now unless DHL ships by Land. I would imagine a june interview ....Comment

Did your case reach chennai. They have not yet received mine eventhough it was forwarded on 03/19/02 through DHL.
