EB-1 Consular processing after I-140 from India

I have an EB-1, I-140 approved and the case is now current. I am in India now working for the same organization that applied the I-140. I would like to know if I can apply the green card through consular processing while I am in India, Currently I have an H-1B extension till end of 2019 and while I do plan to return to US next year, I would really like to know if I can proceed with consular processing for my green card while I am in India. If you already have a valid non-Immigrant visa, you may consider opting for AOS path as well which is relatively quicker and safe and less on hassles, like obtaining civil documents, consulate interviews, etc.
