  • CP in Montreal for landed immigrant

    Hi friends:
Does anyone know if CP can be done in Montreal for canadian landed immigrant (not canadian citizen)?

I am canadian citizen but my better-half is not a canadian citizen, but canadian landed immigrant. Can I apply for CP in Montreal for us, since I am the principle applicant?

Sharing your experience and response is appreciable.

Yes, especially if the primary applicant is a Canadian Citizen.

CP in Montreal for landed immigrant

      Thanks a lot cper2002.

Is there any special procedure for that or it is straight-forward as regular CP processing in Montreal. Any special documentation I need to show etc.

      Thanks again.

As part of your Packet 3 instructions, you will be asked to furnish proof of your citizenship/residency (photocopies of passport/landing papers are fine) - this is largely to determine your eligibility to appear at Montreal for CP. Otherwise it is straightforward.

          Hi,
After becoming Landed Immigrants, we lived in Canada for only two weeks and came to US. I have been working in US on H1B visa since then. Are we also eligible for CP processing at Montreal?

          Thanks.
