CP Interview HELP/DILEMMA. Can I attend the interview withou

My family had moved to India and I'm working in Europe.
We are thinking of applying GC for me only and maintain it by travelling to the US a couple of times/year (Since we want to live primarily in India and since it will be difficult to maintain the GC for five years, even after applying for the ReEntry Permit for 2 yrs.).

Questions -:

1. Is it possible to attend the interview without the family ?

2. Will it be possible to apply for the Childrens' GC at a later
stage (5 years later) ? How long would that approx. take ?

3. Do any of you have any other suggestions ?

1. Yes
2. It will be considered family based immigration.
