  • Need Immediate help

    Hi Everybody on immihelp,
We have indicated in DS-230 Part 1 form that I (primary applicant) will be travelling to USA first and my family will be joining later to me. However, due to some circumstances, We are all planning to fly together. Is this possible OR wil there be any problem at the port of entry. Does any body have faced this situation. Please give your comments ASAP! Thnx in advance.

    Not Legal Advice:

The Visas issued to your family members will be stamped with the following: "Only valid if accompanying or following Primary Applicant".

What this means is that, in reality, if you indicate they will join you later they can enter the US any time after you and before the expiry date of the visa.

Whether they enter a month after you on another flight or two secconds after you, because they are just behind you in the queue at the airport, doesn't really matter - as long as you get to the immigration desk first.

As long as they don't try to enter before you everything will be fine.
