If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it. I have question about green card.
My priority date under EB2 is current and I am waiting for NVC to schdule my interview. They have received all my documents. I am in India for past few years. It's been over a month since NVC received my documents so I am hoping that my interview will be scheduled in mumbai in next 60 days.
1. If the Visa is approved after consulate interview, how long do we have until we travel to port of entry? Is the immigrant visa valid for 6 months from the date it was issued?
2. My daughter is in 9th grade in India so I prefer to move to usa after she completes her 10th grade here. ( In march 2020). Would her visa be void if she does not travel to usa before that ?
3. If the visa is approved for me and my family, can we just travel to usa for a 2-3 weeks in next 6 months , receive the green card and come back to india and then make our final move in march 2020?
Basically we definitely want to move, however want to know options how I can maintain the green card until march 2020 without travelling there. I can certainly make one trip before march 2020 for 4-5 weeks to receive the card.
I live in pune so can someone confirm if the medicals would be done in pune or we have to travel to mumbai.
