PCC from USA for CP

Hello all,

I'm awaiting for my 1-140 to get approved in a month or two. I have opted for CP. Can anybody please tell me when I should apply for the PCC here in US. I heard it takes about 40 days to get it. How long will the PCC be valid ? Thanks for your input.

PCC is NOT required for U.S.

Reason: Convictions are public record here in the US. If the State Department wants to know about any Criminal Activity you may have perpertrated in the US they will ask the FBI themselves. You do not need to do it for them.

PCC from Indian Consulate

You would need to obtain a PCC from the Indian Consulate in USA. You can use the Misc. Services form provided by Indian Consulate to aply for the certificate.

1) Do we have to apply with the Original passport or just copies is enough ?
2) Is Personal particulars Proforma required ?
3) For how long will the PCC be valid ?

Not from India. But from Indian embassy in overseas.

Not from India. But, in Overseas country, you have to contact Indian embassy to get PCC.
