Hi folks
My name is Sandeep. We are looking for a Police Clearance Certificate from India for immigration purposes and I've a few queries regarding that.
1. We reside in Washington, USA. Nearest Indian consulate to our location which provides the police clearance San Francisco, California. I wanted to check if we can apply for the clearance certificate in any consulate or is it a requirement to be the nearest one?
2. Do we have to submit the original passport as well or will the notarized copies of the passport pages be enough. Do they actually put any stamps on the passport for they would need the original passport?
3. Is there an expedited process to get the clearance like the tatkal service for passport renewal?
I would really appreciate if you could help us with these queries.
