Lost US immigrant visa packet

HI gurus,

We have lost PASSPORTS along with ORIGINAL US IMMIGRANT VISA PACKETS BEFORE we could fly back to US after Interview. Does any body knows about the procedure of obtaining the duplicate visa packets. I have sent e-mail to consulate but not received reply yet. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Not Legal Advice:

Based on what I was told after my consulate gave me the visa, you will need to obtain all the documents (Birth Certificates, PCC, Marriage Certificates etc) again as that was what was in the yellow envelopes.

You will need to then go to the Consulate, tell them what happened and apply for a replacement.
