H-1 extension problem, going for CP interview in July

Has anyone gone through this situation?

My employer has file for h1- extension and it has not been approved yet. INS has asked for additional information regarding my job description. And I do not expect the extension to be approved before I go for interview in July. My Visa expired in last month. I do have receipt for h-1 extension application. Will this create any problems?

I will be in the same situation as you, however, expect my interview in about 3 months so hopefully my H1 ext. will come through.

I would however like to know any response you may get to your question, if it is legal advice ort through the board, and appreciat if you can keep the board updated on your situation.
