You have to go to Police commissioner's office to get, near Coffe Board. There will be no probs.

1. Take address proof like ration card, passport
2.Format: u don't have to worry, police will give u
3.couple of days
4. Valid atleast for 6 months

Is PCC required by Chennai consulate?? From the previous postings here, it is clear the chennai consulate does not require PCC from local authority. It is only required for Mumbai.

I have this confirmed via email from chennai consulate that Local PCC is not required if you are currently staying in US.

SO PLEASE DONT CONFUSE OTHERS.
