    X-ray

X-ray is waived for pregnant. This will not cause any delays.

my wife is pregnant too and here is medical exam experience

My interview is on june 25th at chennai. I went to Dr Mathai Thomas (Male) yesterday for medical exam. My wife is also pregnant and she was waived for X-RAY. The doctor also waived my wife from all vaccinations after examining her. I'd a certificate from our US doctor that she is pregnant as proof and it was required at both the lister lab and at the doctor examination/

About lister laboratory and medical exam:

we went there by 7AM and surprisingly we were the first one to be tested at lister after they opened it at 7.30AM. I was infact hoping for a big queue. It took around 20mintues in total for both of us. The report was due at 4.30PM but they didn't arrive until 4.45PM.

Once we collected the reports, it was like a running race among the five or six of us to get to Dr Mathai Thomas first . We were lucky to reach him first and that saved us lot of time, as for each individual it takes around 20-25mintues. So if u reach him as the fourth or fifth candidate, you may have to wait for atleast 2-2.5hours and you will find that scheduling the appointment will be a mere cursory thing. I am not sure if that is the case with other Drs.

        About Dr Mathai Thomas:

I didn't have any issues with him as he gave me a clean chit to me and my wife even though the Dr was very unfriendly and his staff were totally uncouth.

Take this message at your own risk....

the medical exam is valid for 1 year

Medical exam has to be done atleast three days prior and it could be even performed 8 or 9 months in advance. I am positive about this..
