interviews in india due to recent conditions?

A friend of mine is scheduled for interview in june (23rd)...
is there any news from the consulates in india that they will be closed or something? I mean..does anyone know what is happening?

the consulates are definitely open here. The security at the consulates has really tightened ... but they are open & working.

Interviews in India

I don't see any effect on Visa services for USA as of today since I got email from consulate today confirming my interview date in the month of July.
